Contour Club (ABN 52 351 991 871) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit https://contourclubshop.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We comply with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for EU/UK customers and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) for California residents.
1. Information we collect
We collect information in three ways:
- You provide it. Name, email, shipping and billing address, and phone number when you place an order or contact us.
- Automatically. Device and browser type, IP address, pages visited, referring site, and timestamps, via cookies and similar technologies.
- From our processors. Payment confirmation data from Wix, Stripe, and PayPal. We never see or store your full card number.
2. How we use your information
- Fulfil orders, process payments, and manage returns.
- Provide customer support and respond to enquiries.
- Improve the website, products, and checkout experience.
- Send order confirmations, shipping updates, and (if you opt in) marketing emails. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
3. Third parties we share with
We share only what is needed to run the store. Each provider has its own privacy policy:
- Wix. Storefront backend, cart, checkout, and order dashboard.
- Stripe and PayPal. Payment processing.
- Shipping carriers. To deliver your order.
- Analytics and marketing (where enabled, e.g. Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Klaviyo). Used to understand site traffic and send the communications you opt into.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Overseas disclosure
Because some of our processors (including Wix, Stripe, PayPal, and analytics tools) are based overseas, your information may be stored or processed outside Australia, primarily in the United States and the European Union. We take reasonable steps to ensure these recipients handle your information consistently with the APPs.
5. Cookies
We use cookies for essential site function (cart, checkout, login) and, optionally, analytics and marketing. You can block non-essential cookies in your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may break checkout.
6. Your rights
Australia (APPs): you may request access to the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading.
EU/UK (GDPR): you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Our lawful bases are contract performance (to fulfil your order), legitimate interest (to improve the store and prevent fraud), and consent (for marketing and non-essential cookies).
California (CCPA/CPRA): you may request a copy of the personal information we collected in the past 12 months, and ask that we not sell or share it (we don't).
To exercise any of these rights, email contourclubshop@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
7. Data retention and security
We keep order records for as long as required by Australian tax and accounting law (generally at least 5 years). Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Payment information is stored by our processors, not by us.
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and rely on our processors' PCI-DSS certification for payment data. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable precautions.
8. Children
Contour Club is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
